Born & raised in South Philly, Levis's was one of my Dad's and his friends favorite places to go to eat. I realy enjoyed going all hours of the summer evening's and weekends. As a yound boy in the 50's I remember seeing the same folks working throughout my childhood. Some time my Dad would park in the little lot next to the store to run in to get ice cream and I remember a mural on the wall of the parking lot that changed over the years. When we went in the store to eat there were little round tables along the wall and pictures of famous people all over the walls that had visited Levis's. Truly one of my best memories. Ps. The hot dogs and fish cakes were the best ever. For anyone that visited the store I remember Jack & Jill ice cream next store and the park accross the street. Sweet memories...
